Participation of the Director- General of the Central Anti-Corruption Office (OCRC) in the Inaugural Meeting of the AFRICAN ANTI-CORRUPTION LAW ENFORCEMENT NETWORK (AFR LEN)

Mr. Mokhtar LAKHDARI, the Director- General of the Central Anti-Corruption Office (OCRC), had participated in the inaugural meeting of the African Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Network (AFR LEN), which was held in Mauritius from 23 to 25 April 2024.
The aim of this network is to promote informal cooperation between practitioners from African anti-corruption bodies and entities belonging to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) Working Group on Bribery, particularly in investigations and prosecutions involving in complex transnational issues. The network enables investigators to share information, best practices, and informal consultations in investigations that extend across different jurisdictions. This effort, in which Algeria participated, is part of the OECD and African Development Bank's collaboration to promote business integrity and combat corruption in Africa.
The Central Anti-Corruption Office's (OCRC) participation is consistent with the state's general anti-corruption policy, as well as Algeria's commitment to international efforts in this field.
