Participation of the Director General in the Sixth Session of the General Assembly of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network).

The sixth session of the General Assembly of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network) was held in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 20 to 23 May 2025. The event brought together over 300 participants, representing member states as well as various specialized organizations and agencies.

During this session, roundtables and presentations focused on key challenges facing anti-corruption enforcement authorities, particularly in relation to new technologies, artificial intelligence, and cryptocurrencies. These topics call for continuous, high-level training for investigators, as well as the development of dedicated tools for criminal analysis. Pioneering experiences from Singapore and the Russian Federation were shared in this context.

In addition to these issues, presentations were delivered on non-judicial methods of handling corruption cases, such as Deferred Prosecution Agreements (DPAs), as well as mechanisms for the direct recovery of the proceeds of corruption.

On the sidelines of the session, the Director General of the l’Office Central de Répression de la Corruption (OCRC) held a meeting with the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, along with working sessions with representatives of several countries and the coordinator of the StAR initiative, with the aim of strengthening international cooperation and exchanging expertise and experiences in the fields of anti-corruption and asset recovery.
