Second ministerial meeting of anti-corruption law enforcement authorities of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states.
The second ministerial meeting of anti-corruption law enforcement authorities of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states took place in Doha (Qatar) on November 26 and 27, 2024.
Algeria participated in this event with a delegation headed by Mr. Mokhtar LAKHDARI, Director General of the Central Anti-Corruption Office (O.C.R.C). During his intervention at the works, Mr. LAKHDARI recalled Algeria's efforts in the fight against corruption, highlighting the importance of international mutual legal assistance and the contribution of the operational cooperation in exchange of information and evidence gathering on seizure, freezing, and return of proceeds of corruption in transnational cases.
In addition to the OIC member states, several specialized organizations and agencies participated in the meeting, such as the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the International Anti-Corruption Academy, the Globe Network, and the Egmont Group.
During this meeting, Makkah Al-Mukarramah Convention of the member states of the OIC on anti- corruption law enforcement cooperation was opened for signature.
