Participation of the Director general of the Central Anti-Corruption Office (OCRC) on the fifth plenary meeting of  the global operational network of anti-corruption law enforcement authorities ( the GlobE Network ).

From september 24 to 27, 2024, the People's Republic of China hosted the fifth plenary meeting of the global operational network of anti-corruption law enforcement authorities  ( the GlobE Network ). Over 400 delegates represent member states took part in this event. In September 2024, GlobE Network included 121 states represented by 219 organizations.

 

At the opening session, the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) highlighted the importance of the GlobE Network and    the significant advances that has made since its creation. She also appreciated      the increasing number of states parties to the UN Convention that have joined   the network.

 

Taking the floor during the high-level segment, Mr. Mokhtar LAKHDARI, Director general of the Central Anti-Corruption Office (OCRC) emphasized the added value    of the GlobE Network for the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region, where there is no regional network for exchanging information as there is in other parts of the world. He also expressed his wish to see the network grow and offer its members a framework  for exchanging experience, expertise and strengthening their operational capacities.
